How long have you been role playing? Uhm... three years I think
Have you ever taught someone else how to role play? Yes ^^
Example Post: ((I am so not writing ANOTHER one <<)
In the world, perhaps in other areas, or at a different time, a gentle breeze might have been flowing through the area. A gentle breeze like the such that might dance upon the leaves and lead them as a partner twirling down to the earth to fall gently and leave a path for wandering creatures. Or it would rustle through the branches and listen to them sweetly sing as the wind would pass on and sweep through the grasses, enjoying itself on its never ending journey about, as graceful and carefree as a fairy of sorts. But not this day. Neh. Alas, the air was still and hot. Rain had not fallen for a long while, and thus the usually lush, green grass was growing brown and bald, showing the pale skin of the earth that it rooted from. The leaves that usually rustled against each other to be the voice of the wind's song were dry and crinkled, threatening to fall from their tiring limbs. The trees seemed to loom in exhaustion, and the very earth itself seemed to sway as though feverish from the lack of nourishment in so long. The only signs of beauty, were the vibrant colors that filled the sky's horizon like the soft blush of a maiden who is reaching toward her lover, the night. Pinks and faint purples still melded together beneath the faint blue far beyond as a few, faint golden rays of the sun still lingered only a few moments before the world would begin to fade into darkness.
The crunch of a leave was rather loud in the air from the silence of the world around it. Another loud crunch was heard along with the snapping of a twig and the sound of a man's voice echoed across the long, drying plain. "Our mother earth is ill. Who would dare to cause her such pain? Can father time not come to her aid? Nor put a wet cloth upon her sweating brow? Must we, her children always be the one's to care for and give her love? Or will father time forever drift, pretending to be alone." A heavy sigh escaped the full, red lips of this man and black eyes as deep and enchanting as darkened embers gazed forward. As he stepped into the dimming light of the evening, the fallen sun casting a faint, warm, golden glow upon his faintly tanned cheek he gazed about the plain before him. His feet were covered by large, brown boots which covered loose black pants. Over his torso was a large, white shirt, and a tan vest hung over it. About his waste, though hidden by the over fold of the shirt was a large, brown belt which contained the strings of a few pouches and sheaths which he carried with him. Who knew what the contents of such things were, except perhaps the sheaths, one which carried a long, curved sword, and the other which carried a strangely shaped dagger. A large hand reached up to stroke through longish, white-green hair as he continued to gaze around.
"Not a bird, nor a sound, not a creature in sight. What is to become of this land tonight? Will I have to set these lands ablaze... in hopes that like a phoenix, it will be reborn? Or shall I set for to help this place, and make it right, to be restored." His voice was deep yet smooth, his accent slightly Irish, though he was hardly of any normal human race, at least full blood. And with the way he spoke, well, that was just the way he loved to speak, in riddles and poetry. It intrigued him in a way, but not for his own self arrogance or pride. Yet at the sound of a loud THUD! behind him, the man jumped and whirled around in surprise. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" There went his droning of poetry.
Behind him lay on the ground the form of a young woman. Once the dry dust cleared from where she had fallen it could be evident that she was much different than the man who had just shouted at her. She had long, thick, vibrant red hair that was pulled back in a Chinese ribbon of sorts, the hair she usually let flow held behind her and up, though curled off her back upon the ground gathering dirt. She lay there a moment, looking like she was unconscious before she lifted her head and shook it, wrinkling her nose and sneezing, which sounded louder than it should have. She then opened her eyes and looked up at the man, trying to look stubborn but letting a smooth, innocent grin slip and said, "Keehee!" Her eyes were a bright stunning grin with a dark shade of blue about their rims. She had fair skin and a few freckles that dotted across her faintly sunburned nose and cheeks. "Just because you travel all boring on the ground doesn't mean I can't travel with style in the trees above you," she said proudly, sticking out her tongue.
The man hid a laugh and frowned with a loud sigh coming after. "Only fools will play around, when they should stay upon the ground. For in these lands the trees are sick, and drying means they break and fall. So be a dear and please don't cause, these lands more pain and mother earth more worry." He grinned as he said this and walked over to his companion, offering her a hand. "Geez, Taura, you're always getting yourself in trouble."
She only glared at him but couldn't help giggling as well. "You're one to talk, Mr. Perfect Shidou. No one except me ever understands you with your way of speaking all the time." She grabbed his hand and pulled herself up, grabbing the wood of her bow as she went. Indeed, he was a swordsman and she an archer. But that wasn't the only thing they were good at: weapons. But that was something they didn't often go to. "So, why are we stopping here anyway?" she asked, looking around in both shock and amazement. "Its so, dry... but somehow beautiful." She paused, yet she knew Shidou would only respond with something smart so she beat him to it by saying, "Of course. Its mother earth. Even at her worst she looks beautiful, that's just a gift she was given by the gods." She grinned, and it only grew when Shidou nodded at her approvingly. She began to walk forward and then stumbled, a loud, "Oww!" escaping her as she reaching down to clutch her foot. Unlike her companion, she had bare feet, and that probably wasn't good. She glared at her foot before plucking a sticker from its soul. "Darn thing," she muttered, tossing it aside. She was also different in how she was dressed. Her clothing consisted of a robe-type top that went low enough to be a couple inches above her knees and was tied about the waste by a brown strap of sorts, it being cloth so it could tie, but a strong piece of cloth at that. Besides the quiver of arrows that was strapped to her back, there was a pack which inside she carried her gown and a few other accessories she liked to have for dressing up as a girl when she wished to. Her legs were covered by leather straps and though her feet were bare, their souls were half covered by the criss-crossed straps that were secured about her shin below her knee.
Shidou sighed, "Enough messing around. Let's get to work. We were sent here on a mission, and I'm eager to get home to a real bed and some good food." He didn't need to glance at Taura because he knew she had become serious and agreed. With that, he moved forward, the grasses seeming to sway about his feet with what little wind movement he made as he passed through. Yet as he moved, something amazing would happen. He would begin to transform. Large, fluffy white ears grew from his head and his face turned longer until it was that of a strong, handsome wolf's with the same piercing black eyes. His neck grew a bit longer and his torso rounder as his legs and arms changed down to his hands turning into large white paws. Lastly, a large bushy tail popped from his rump and he was now a large, white wolf of sorts trotting forward. Black eyes turned sharply, meeting those of his companion directly across the field from himself. She had completed the same transformation, except she was a rather large red fox of sorts, her tail bushy and long with a white tip and her paws brown. The only similarity was the vibrant red of her fur and the stunning green of her eyes. She gave a faint nod to Shidou before dipping her nose to the earth.
As they did so, they began to move in a circle, going in the same direction and as the reached the quarter point of where they'd been they stopped, turned and faced each other, walked straight forward, got to the middle of a seemingly large circle, and stopped. After a second, they both started again, moving in a smaller circle and then once they'd reached the opposite side of where they'd been they moved in the same straight line out again and circled around until on the larger circle they were opposite of each other. Except now, where she had stood he did, and where he had stood she did. As they did, they both curled they're tails inward and opened closed their eyes, lifting their noses to the now darkened sky above. Though the stars still twinkled, and the moon shone bright, for not a cloud was there in the sky, even the beauty of the moon seemed to have faded and the stars lost their shine. But not for long. For hope had arrived.
Shidou then lifted a howl into the air, strong and true along with Taura's who was sweet and elegant, and together from their lips a curling glow of gray clashed with a vibrant strand of blue-green and they swirled high into the sky until they seemed to touch the sky itself. But such was not so, 'twas only a grand illusion, but as they seemed to stop a bright light suddenly spread out from all directions and curled down as if an opaque globe surrounding that land, and the circle they had formed at their paws lit up, one side gray, the other blue-green until they clashed and filled the entire circle with one bright golden light that shone. As the light expanded, it grew until the whole area was engulfed and if faded out, until Shidou and Taura were mere silhouettes against a white surrounding. And then all faded. All went black. The world seemed to have vanished for a moment, before as all cleared the sound of a wind could be heard howling and it rippled thickly through the white fur of a strong looking wolf, and through the red fur of a pretty fox. And two confident smiles filled two pairs of eyes and shouts of excitement filled the now alive air. Wind had returned. Mother earth was healed. The lands were restoring. And soon, all would be as it once had been.
The two left, having transformed back into their human forms and they were glad more than they could express. For on their last and final mission, they had had success. For one never have known, that they would have gone home, to a surprise that will yet be revealed. For the time for such a story is not now, now was the tale of the land's revival. But only once, for the land has fallen and been revived many times. And perhaps in the future, the time will come, for you to learn of these two beings yet again.
